And I'm off to Vancouver to stay with family while I recover from wisdom teeth removal!! My surgery is at 8:30am tomorrow. Think good thoughts for me! My survival kit includes lots of chicken & stars soup and the latest People, although I'm not that interested in reading about how Renee married that hick guy. I also get to try on all the skirts and dresses that were sewn for me last week! I am excited for that, I hope they fit. Gotta go so my Grandma and I can watch Oprah together! ;o)

Ackkk. I am so bored. I am having my yard sale. I have made $90 so far (yay!) but I also have been up since 5am getting everything ready and I am now exhausted.
It's interesting, the whole garage sale culture. There are a lot of strange people that come out for these things. Cheap people too, but I guess that's to be expected. I mean I am selling all of my books for $2, that's not very much, and this one guy brings up just about the best book in the box (Choke, Chuck Palinuik) and is like, "Can I have this for a dollar? It is just a book, but wow.

At 7 am this morning Abeah brought a dog home. My cats are freaking out. The dog is cute though.

My begging and pleading with the ORAL SURGEON (!!) did not help. They are coming out. Even though this so far has been my one and only experience with surgeons, I now believe that they completely fit the stereotype of psycotic people that secretly love digging inside people's bodies. They all are closet serial killers. This one looked like what's-his-name from American Psycho and he did this weird thing with his eyes.

Shit. I should be getting in the shower, getting ready for work. I am so unmotivated today. Today I am with Sam until 2, and then i go to the ORAL SURGEON for a consultation. Did I mention i am going to a SURGEON??!! Ack. I have never had surgery, and it is some great fear of mine, that and tarantulas, but I think surgery would be worse. At least I when I have it done (may 20th) I will have lots of time to catch up my reading. I started reading 'You shall know our Velocity again'. It is better the second time.

It's sunny in Portland, and almost 70 degrees. Crazy.

I had most of the afternoon off today, and called and cancelled almost everything finanicially tying me up stateside. It felt good.

Oh yeah, my dad and his ex wife are getting married only a few months apart from eachother. Weird. He called to tell me he and Steph are getting married. I am kinda glad that I will be in Africa during the whole ordeal.

I am going out to dinner at Aqui with the girls, Heidi and Tyler & Lucy tonight. Should be fun. Oohhh, I need to sleep.

Today I am excited about Africa. I know they say that there's no point in researching your country, but i don't care, it's fun!!

So, it seems my whole outlook has changed now that I have finally reached Placement Status (even thought I don't REALLY know what that means;) It is for sure now. Not only that, but it's a little more than 2 months away. I almost hyperventilate thinking of all the things I have to do.

Last night was Hyperstar's show at the Viper Room. It was fun. The show itself wasn't the best, don't get me wrong, they played well, but it was the wrong crowd for them. I got to hang out with Christina a lot. It was good to get to know her more, I think we have a lot more in common than we thought. After the show, we all helped load the van, then went to the triple nickle for some drinks. Joey got super drunk, it was great. He was trying to blame it on me too. Ooops. Oh and randomly Bobby Martin and more (uggh Ina) were there as well. Healther showed up too. I guess we are having a girl party and Joey is going too cuz he is sometimes a girl ;)
We then ventured a few blocks North to Pat's. Not the highlight of the night cuz I am not always into that side of Rob's friends. They have this weird elitism to them that I can't stand, but whateva. We didn't end up coming home until 4:30am, and when we did, I of course checked my email, and holy shit to top off the night, I got a toolkit update from PC!!!!

Anyway, my placement is checked off, and I guess that means it should be soon. Oh holy Jesus H. Christ.

Today was a day from HELL in the nanny world.

OK, so a friend of mine from college is also a nanny and we meet up once a week to take both our charges to the children's museum. Today when we got there, the two kids (they are both 2 years old) were hanging out in the backseat of my car while we got all of our stuff ready, and with no warning Cassidy, my friend's charge PUKED BIG TIME all over the backseat of MY CAR!!! And when I mean big time, I mean like a gallon. It was the nastiest shit that I have ever seen/smelled. Needless to say, there was no Children's museum today, they went home, and Sam and I hightailed it to the nearest car cleaning place. I ended up having to get my interior DETAILED for which they charged me $60. Oh man I am feeling sick just thinking about it!

The only good thing about this all is the girl's parents are going to pay me back, and my car has never been cleaner. Coming to pick up my car after the guys cleaned it was so embarassing though, oh well, I'm sure they've seen it all.

I am dead tired. I got about 5 hours of sleep last night. But I also just drank a whole pot of coffee. This house that I'm in is so georgous it's kinda creeping me out. I have to work from 9am-8pm and then be back here to "work" (ie sleep) at 10pm. Kinda crazy, but gotta start paying off that OSU bill! The Pants and I are going to go get a drink in between my jobs tonight, I sure will need it...

Liam (who is 4) just said to me "Maybe you could go to Africa another time?" Oh that made me so sad! I didn't even know that they realized I was going cuz we never really talk about it, but I have been nannying him for almost 2 years so I feel bad to be leaving him.

Wait, am I leaving!!??
